About Sven Wittrock

I’ve been carrying a camera for about five years, but it’s in the last three that photography truly became my pulse. My work lives in black and white—dark, gritty, and stripped of distraction. Street photography is where I find my voice, capturing fragments of life that often go unnoticed.

I shoot with a Fujifilm X100V, a compact companion that lets me move quietly through streets and shadows. Much of my work comes from traveling across Asia, where the rhythm of daily life, the raw textures of the streets, and the depth in people’s faces hold endless stories.

I don’t stage or plan—I capture what pulls me in. Every frame is about honesty, atmosphere, and that unspoken weight you feel when you look at an image that stays with you.

This is what Gridline stands for: not perfection, but truth.

My work is available for purchase here, and I’m currently preparing the release of my first photography book. If you’d like to connect, collaborate, or ask questions, feel free to reach me at wittrock73@yahoo.com.
